SANique FailWatch Feature Overview
SANique FailWatch is a high availability (HA) solution for N-way cluster system.
fSANique FailWatch monitors the status of member nodes in the cluster and takes necessary actions
  based on the given situation in order to provide uninterrupted service.
With SANique FailWatch, applications can be manually switched over for load balancing purpose or
  automatically failed over in case of any resource or node failure.
SANique FailWatch also supports cascading application failover so that applications with SANique
  FailWatch can survive over nested server failure and continue to serve.
SANique FailWatch provides group-based resource management so that manual switchover and
  automatic failover can be done on an individual application or a group of applications.
SANique FailWatch provides a convenient and intuitive graphic user interface making maintenance job
  easy and enjoyable.
 

SANique FailWatch allows M application service to be distributed among N server nodes in a cluster in any way desired.
In case of resource failure including servers or storages, application services allocated on failed resources are automatically failed over to other active resources based on pre-defined policy.
Automatic application service failover can be applied as long as there is resource available, so that service continues unless all resources fail simultaneously.
 

 

 
 
SANique FailWatch itself provides the fastest application failover among all other commercial HA solutions available on the market. In addition, when integrated with SANique Data Sharing solution (CFS + CVM), application service failover can be done in a moment since there is no need to change zoning at the SAN switch nor to mount data volume on the node taking the service over; all that is to be done is reassigning service resource (IP etc.) and starting application instance on the taker node if not already running.
